The six stages

4. Reflexology massage. Pressure-point work through the sole and into the calves.

What the paraffin mask actually does

Warm paraffin is applied over the feet and left to set. As it cools it holds heat against the skin and traps the moisture applied beforehand, which is why paraffin outperforms simply applying more cream. It is particularly effective on cracked heels, where the skin is too thick for ordinary moisturizer to penetrate. The mask lifts away cleanly, and skin stays noticeably softer for several days.
