Which Facial Should You Book? A Guide by Skin Concern

Which Facial Should You Book? A Guide by Skin Concern

Price will not tell you which facial you need. Three treatments on the menu cost 350,000 ₫ for 60 minutes and three more cost 500,000 ₫ for the same hour, and what separates them is the problem they are aimed at, not how good they are. Start from the concern and the list narrows to one or two.

The six that cost the same

Facial menus get read as a ladder, cheapest first, on the assumption that the expensive end is the better version of the cheap end. That falls apart here. Six of the ten treatments sit in two flat price bands, an hour each, and inside each band they have almost nothing in common.

Treatment Duration and price What it is aimed at
Acne Care Treatment 60 Mins, 350,000 ₫ Deep cleansing, extraction and calming for congested skin
Vitamin C Therapy 60 Mins, 350,000 ₫ Brightening for dullness and early pigmentation
GSC+ Korean Glass Skin Therapy 60 Mins, 350,000 ₫ Korean-method layered hydration
Dermaquest Signature White 60 Mins, 500,000 ₫ Uneven tone and dark spots
CO2 Carboxy Therapy 60 Mins, 500,000 ₫ Dull, tired-looking skin
Intensive Acne Clear Chemical Peel 60 Mins, 500,000 ₫ Persistent congestion and post-acne marks

The gap between the bands is not a quality ladder either. The 500,000 ₫ hour is the more assertive end of the menu, not an improved version of the 350,000 ₫ one. If your problem is dehydration rather than uneven tone, the cheaper booking is the correct one and the dearer is money aimed at the wrong target. That is why nobody at a desk can answer “which is better” honestly. Every price sits on the full facial menu.

Routing by concern

The same information, sorted the way you actually shop for it. The last column matters more than the other three, because it is the part a menu never prints.

Your concern What to book Duration and price What it will not do
Puffiness, a face that looks tired rather than damaged Facial Gua Sha 60 Mins, 280,000 ₫ Manual work with a stone tool. No acids, no extraction. It will not change pigmentation or clear congestion.
Blackheads, congestion, skin that feels clogged Acne Care Treatment 60 Mins, 350,000 ₫ Cosmetic care, not medical treatment. It will not resolve persistent or cystic acne.
Dullness and early pigmentation Vitamin C Therapy 60 Mins, 350,000 ₫ It will not remove established dark spots in one hour.
Skin that feels tight and dehydrated GSC+ Korean Glass Skin Therapy 60 Mins, 350,000 ₫ Hydration is not permanent. It will not change tone or texture.
Uneven tone, dark spots, melasma Dermaquest Signature White 60 Mins, 500,000 ₫ Melasma is managed, not cured. Expect a course, not a single fix.
Skin that looks flat and tired with no single fault CO2 Carboxy Therapy 60 Mins, 500,000 ₫ It is not aimed at congestion, texture or pigmentation.
Post-acne marks and congestion that has not shifted Intensive Acne Clear Chemical Peel 60 Mins, 500,000 ₫ Not a substitute for a prescription if the acne itself is persistent.
Rough texture and dullness that hydration has not fixed Herbal Skin Renew Peel 60 Mins, 550,000 ₫ It carries real downtime. Not a booking to make days before an event.
Firmness and texture changing over time Collagen Boosting Therapy 60 Mins, 1,200,000 ₫ / session Microneedling. A different order of intervention, and priced per session.
Skin tags Skin Tag Removal 50,000 ₫ / spot Priced per spot. Not for moles, and not for anything that has changed.

Two lines there deserve saying out loud. Acne care is described on its own page as cosmetic care and not medical treatment, and that wording is deliberate. The Dermaquest page says melasma is managed rather than cured, which matches the American Academy of Dermatology on diagnosing and treating melasma. Book a brightening protocol for uneven tone expecting one session to end it and the booking is wrong even though the treatment is right.

Carboxy therapy is the hardest to route to, because “dull and tired-looking” is a description rather than a diagnosis. It is the choice when nothing is wrong in particular. Climate the table cannot hold at all: a routine that stopped working in July is often a humidity problem, not a product one. See what humidity does to skin here.

The two that are not like the others

Skin Tag Removal is not a facial. It is charged at 50,000 ₫ per spot rather than by the hour, so there is no session price to compare with anything else here. Two tags and ten tags are the same treatment at different totals, and the appointment length follows the number, as the priced per spot page sets out. One thing first: skin tags are not moles. Anything pigmented, anything that has changed shape or color, anything that bleeds, goes to a doctor and not to a spa.

Collagen Boosting Therapy is a different order of intervention. At 1,200,000 ₫ per session it costs more than twice anything else on the menu, because it is microneedling-based collagen induction rather than a surface protocol. It works by a mechanism the other nine do not use, so setting it against a 350,000 ₫ hydration hour compares two things that are not competing for the same booking. To judge whether your skin is at that stage, what changes with age beats a price list.

What has downtime, and planning around an event

One treatment is published with a warning attached: a herbal resurfacing peel at 550,000 ₫ carries real downtime to plan around. The page does not put a number of days on it and neither will this one, because that figure has not been confirmed. Ask when you book, and ask before you choose the date rather than after.

The general rule holds whichever treatment you pick: do not book something you have never had close to a day you cannot move. That applies to a stronger peel for post-acne marks as much as to the resurfacing one, for a reason unrelated to the treatment being bad. You do not yet know how your skin answers it. Leave room to find out, then repeat what worked. Our guide to planning around a date sequences the months before a fixed occasion. The NHS also publishes general advice about cosmetic procedures, not peel-specific, built around asking what a procedure involves, what products are used and what could go wrong.

When a facial is the wrong answer

Persistent or cystic acne needs a doctor, not a facial. The NHS puts the cause of acne in hormone levels and blocked hair follicles, neither of which a cleansing hour reaches. A facial may help how congested skin looks; it is not aimed at the mechanism underneath. The American Academy of Dermatology sets out what a dermatologist can prescribe in its guide to acne diagnosis and treatment. If you have booked facials for months with nothing changing, that is the door to try next, and we would rather say so than sell you a sixth one.

Anything painful, spreading or refusing to settle is a medical question. So is any mole or mark that changes shape, color or size. A spa is not the place to have that assessed, and a treatment laid over the top of it is at best a delay.

Say what you are already using. If you are on a prescription for your skin, tell us before the treatment starts, unprompted if nobody asks. Some prescriptions change what is sensible to put on skin, and the person who knows that is the one who wrote it.

Your first facial, in practical terms

Every facial here is published with a duration and a price, so the decision gets made before you arrive rather than at a desk. Nine of the ten run 60 minutes, which makes the hour the unit to plan around; only skin tag removal does not. If it is your first, the reasonable move is not the strongest thing you can afford: Facial Gua Sha at 280,000 ₫ is the only treatment on the menu that is manual work with a stone tool rather than acids, extraction or needling, which makes it a low-commitment way to judge a room and an hour. If you already know your concern, book for the concern instead.

So which one should you book?

Name the problem in one sentence and the menu resolves itself. Congestion goes to acne care. Dullness goes to Vitamin C. Tightness goes to the glass skin hour. Uneven tone goes to Dermaquest, rough texture to a peel, and firmness changing over time is a conversation about collagen induction rather than a facial booked on a whim. If you cannot name the problem, that is useful in itself: it usually means the honest booking is the gentle one.

And if the sentence you would write is “it hurts”, “it is spreading” or “it has changed”, none of the ten is the right answer. Book the doctor first. The facial will still be here.

Chạm Spa publishes a price on every treatment page, and a duration on every facial, rather than quoting on arrival. We are at 82/20A Mạc Đĩnh Chi in Tân Định Ward, District 1, and you can message us on Zalo or WhatsApp with your concern before you book. Open 10:00–19:30, closed Tuesdays.

Frequently asked questions

Why do three different facials cost the same 350,000 ₫?

Because they run the same 60 minutes and are aimed at three different problems. Acne Care Treatment is cleansing, extraction and calming for congested skin. Vitamin C Therapy is brightening work for dullness and early pigmentation. GSC+ Korean Glass Skin Therapy is layered hydration. Choosing on price alone gives you a two-in-three chance of booking for somebody else’s concern.

Which facial should I book if I have never had one?

If you have a specific concern, book for the concern. If you do not, Facial Gua Sha at 280,000 ₫ for 60 minutes is the straightforward first booking: manual work with a stone tool rather than acids, extraction or needling, and the lowest session price on the menu. There is no requirement to start cheap and work upwards, though. A first-timer with obvious congestion is better served by acne care.

Which facial has downtime to plan around?

The Herbal Skin Renew Peel, 60 minutes at 550,000 ₫, is the one published with real downtime attached. The page does not state a fixed number of days, so ask when you book rather than assuming a figure. The safer rule covers every treatment on the menu: if a date in your calendar cannot move, do not schedule an unfamiliar treatment near it.

Can I book a facial while I am using prescription acne medication?

Tell us before the treatment starts, and check with whoever wrote the prescription first. Some skin prescriptions change what should be applied to skin and how it reacts, and that is a question for your doctor rather than for a spa. The Acne Care Treatment is described on its own page as cosmetic care and not medical treatment, which is the honest boundary.

What makes Collagen Boosting Therapy 1,200,000 ₫ when other facials are 350,000 ₫?

It is a different kind of treatment rather than a longer or more elaborate facial. Collagen Boosting Therapy is microneedling-based collagen induction, the most intensive facial on the menu, priced at 1,200,000 ₫ per session. The 350,000 ₫ treatments are surface protocols working on cleansing, brightening or hydration. The two are not competing for the same booking, so price alone is a poor comparison.

Is skin tag removal charged per session or per tag?

Per tag. It is 50,000 ₫ per spot, and the appointment length depends on how many are being treated rather than on a fixed published duration, which makes the total easy to work out in advance. One caution: skin tags are not moles. Anything pigmented, or anything that has changed in shape, size or color, should be seen by a doctor.

What is the difference between a facial and a chemical peel?

A facial is an umbrella term for an hour of skin care that may include cleansing, extraction, a mask, hydration or manual work. A chemical peel is one method inside that category, using an acid preparation on the surface of the skin, and peels are the treatments most likely to leave visible after-effects. On this menu the Intensive Acne Clear Chemical Peel at 500,000 ₫ and the Herbal Skin Renew Peel at 550,000 ₫ are peels; the other eight are not. Ask how long when you book — the pages do not publish a figure.
